Well tonight I want to share a few of mine. No it is not what you are thinking...
I am talking about the first moments where I saw that an impact was made. These may be little things, but they have been some of the most rewarding moments of my life.
I remember the First: * Flyers I made for Josh
*1000 buttons I designed, made and gave out
*1000 emails I collected, CDs I burned, labels I printed
*The first weekly newsletter I sent out
*1st time Josh was played on Commercial radio in Chicago and Indy
* The first time I met Josh at Jalepenos
* The first leg of the "Hoosier fans tour"
*The First interview I helped set up
*The first HOB Kaz Bar show where Josh's friends and fans came out from near and far to show their support. We had the largest crowd there to date that night.
*The first time he played the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
I could go on and on. Well tonight was another exciting first...Josh was played on National TV for the 1st time.
I know some of you realize that there is a lot more work involved than just showing up and playing a guitar. Josh has been passionately devoted to what he does for almost his entire life. He does what he loves, but he also works very hard to get where he is. It is nice to see all that work pay off in these many firsts. I have been so lucky to be able to share this with him as I know many of you feel too.
We all love Josh's music and know he is talented, but what truly keeps us supporting him so passionately is because of his heart. He is a good person and one of the best friends I have ever had. Josh, you deserve these little 1sts. Celebrate and keep playing your heart and soul out.
The best thing about firsts is it means there is usually more to come. It is just the beginning of something new and exciting.
Always, Captain

Okay, we'll keep it about Josh.
The first time I met Josh, Timmay took me to Coach's after I got of work. Josh stated that if anyone knew how to play the tambourine, he'd give them a CD. Tim suggested I go, so I did. He seemed to like me playing and asked me to play another song (or two, three, whatever). Then I later shocked him (at another engagement) by singing Purple Rain.
Yeah, firsts are great. THX Timmay.

The first time Josh and I met, we were disgruntled and argumenative over who was a better guitar player:
Kirk Hammet of Metallica, or Eddie VanHalen.
At that time, i never thought for a second that i would want to play music with him for the rest of my career as a bass player. I have jumped around at times like a cheap sleeper playing in different projects and i can say that i rather be right here....thanks man.
Yeah i have a few "softer" sides.....somewhere....oh yeah...there they are! ;D

Cheap Sleeper? That Phuckin censor again...kudos

And sadly...I've seen some of those softer sides. The first time I heard Josh was at his whirlwind tour for the release of A Table for One. He played at the Blue Bottle in Muncie and my cousin made me go. In all honesty, I didn't think he was very good, but the next day I went to his website and fell in love with his music. It took two more concerts before I actually met Josh, even though I helped with the one in between. I'm just happy that I can help out in any form. Thank you Josh for that opportunity and congrats again on how your career seems to be burgeoning now. (I don't think that's spelled correctly.)

Wow, I remember half of the things that Greg mentioned as firsts as my firsts. What is going to happen on Halloween weekend? P.S. I told Josh, but you are all invited to a massive Halloween bash at my house on Sunday Oct. 30th if you would like to stay. Lily, you should come down A.W.

How about the first time someone drew male reproductive parts on my vehicle with hotel soap.
Josh, you now owe me $50 for gas and $6 for the car wash.

I love how it was automatically me. Maybe I had an accomplice with red hair and crooked fingers. And by the way Jeka, it was payback for our lovely "do not disturb sign" next to the "wet floor signs" that mysteriously appeared in a carpeted hallway. You know how carpet gets slippery, so I am sure no one noticed.

I have another first.......I have never seen ANYONE flick cigarette ashes out of a truck window when being asked for a license and registration.....until Sunday. The best part was the ashes blew back into the officers face as he gladly informed us that one can be sent to jail for flicking ashes out of a truck window.
A$$ Clowns.

The first time I met Josh he was playing a show at Scotty's in Muncie and I just happened to be out enjoying a beverage. That night the bar was quite crowded and all the tables were full. I saw this small group of people walk in and some guy with spikey hair says "I can't phucking believe this. We're playing a show here and they can't even give us a phucking table?!?!"
I immediately knew that had to be Josh and thought What an arrogant prick. He demands rock-star treatment in MUNCIE? HA!
However, I have since changed my views and think very differently. (As in I no longer think Mr Holmes is an arrogant prick) Oh yeah and the music wasn't bad either. ;-)
